For more than 30 years, New Hope has partnered with pastors and churches in Wales, sending teams to serve and encourage them. This year, that partnership comes full circle as pastors from Wales come to pour into us!
Recharge Week is a special time for our whole church family to be refreshed, encouraged, and strengthened in our faith. Join us for worship, biblical teaching, and special events as we seek God together and experience what He wants to do in us.
They have worked with New Hope since 2003. For most of that time they were serving in the heart of the Welsh valleys where they saw God bless their ministry in wonderful ways. They are currently serving in a city centre community at Emmanuel Evangelical Church, Newport and are experiencing ‘times of refreshing’ from the Lord.
They serve at Noddfa Church in the Welsh Valleys, have four wonderful children and they love Jesus and their community. John Funnel is the author of the book, “What God can do with a little oil: Church Growth in a Desperate Situation”. It’s the story of how a poor Welsh chapel facing imminent closure has been transformed into a thriving community.
They have partnered with New Hope since 2009. Chris is lead pastor of Beacon Church Cowbridge which launched in July 2022. Justine owns a bathroom design business and together they have 3 dogs and love to build Jesus centred community and friendship.
