New Hope Together

What you need to know as we become New Hope Together

VIDEO ANNOUNCEMENTS

On August 10, Pastor Rhys delivered a comprehensive reflection on New Hope’s story over the past decade and invited the congregation into a dedicated season of 40 Days of Prayer. This intentional time is set aside to earnestly seek the Lord’s wisdom and guidance as we discern His will for the future direction of our church.

On October 5, Pastor Rhys shared with the New Hope family that after much prayer, fasting, and thoughtful evaluation, the church will officially consolidate into one campus. Beginning Sunday, October 26, we will worship together at the Starr’s Mill location as New Hope Baptist Church. This step marks a faithful move toward greater strength, unity, and long-term impact as we continue to serve the Lord together.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is New Hope Baptist Church consolidating its campuses?

After months of prayer, fasting, and faithful conversation, we believe God is leading us to bring our church family together in one place. The decision to consolidate the North (Fayetteville) and South (Starr’s Mill) Campuses is a step toward long-term strength, renewed clarity, and greater ministry impact. Moving to the Starr’s Mill location allows us to focus our energy, volunteers, and financial resources in a single place while creating a vibrant church experience for everyone and expanding our ability to serve the community well.

What are the service times?

In order to make space for every small group, we will move to 3 Small Group hours while maintaining 2 Worship Services at the South location (Starr’s Mill). This schedule is designed not only for logistics, but for ministry. We’re building in extra time so our gatherings can remain unhurried, meaningful, and Spirit-led. As one church family, this rhythm will help us grow stronger together while welcoming new faces and faithfully walking in step with where God is leading.

WORSHIP SERVICE TIMES     8:45 AM | 10:00 AM
SMALL GROUPS     8:45 AM | 10:00 AM | 11:15 AM

Will the South Campus get a new name?

We will continue to be called New Hope Baptist Church. This reflects that we are no longer operating in two locations, but are moving forward together with one name, one mission, and one heart for ministry. Keeping the name “New Hope” honors the legacy of both locations and celebrates the trust and faithfulness that brought us to this moment of coming together.

What about the Hispanic Ministry that meets at the North Campus White Chapel?

The Hispanic Ministry will continue strong as part of New Hope Together at our Old Starr’s Mill location. Worship service will take place at 10:00 AM, followed by small group gatherings. This move allows the Hispanic Ministry to continue thriving in a dedicated space with room to grow, while remaining fully connected to the heart and mission of New Hope Baptist Church.

How is the church's financial position?

We are taking faithful, proactive steps to ensure long-term sustainability. Operating two large campuses has become increasingly costly, especially as attendance at the North Campus (Fayetteville) has declined. By consolidating, we can steward resources more wisely and focus on greater ministry impact. As we continue to give generously, we trust in the Lord’s ongoing provision and leading.

Why close the North Campus instead of the South Campus?

While both campuses are deeply loved and have played meaningful roles in our church’s story, the South Campus (Starr’s Mill) is better positioned to support our church’s long-term future.

Over the past decade, the Starr’s Mill location has seen steady growth and is located in a rapidly expanding area, offering more centralized access for many families. In contrast, the North Campus (Fayetteville) has seen a considerable decrease in membership and has become increasingly costly to maintain. The size and age of the facility require significant resources that are no longer financially sustainable given current attendance and usage.

What will happen to the North Campus property?

We are prayerfully considering future plans for the North Campus (Fayetteville) property. More details will be shared once they are finalized.

Will there be enough room for everyone?

Yes. Much careful preparation has gone in to make sure this location is ready to welcome everyone with excellence and warmth. This includes evaluating service times, classroom usage, and even long-term facility updates. There may be temporary growing pains, but we believe the reward is worth it as we worship together as one family.

Will all ministries and programs continue at the South Campus?

We are committed to carrying forward what matters most. Every ministry from youth and children to outreach and small groups, will continue at the South (Starr’s Mill) location. Transition plans have been planned to ensure nothing is lost and that all can thrive in a unified setting.

What about Wednesday nights at the North Campus?

The current Wednesday night session will continue as planned through October 22 at the North Campus (Fayetteville). Beginning October 29, all classes will be moved to the South Campus (Starr’s Mill). We are grateful for the discipleship and community that happens midweek!

What will happen to the events that are held at the North Campus?

We will thoughtfully work to reschedule all appropriate North Campus (Fayetteville) events to the South Campus (Starr’s Mill). Our goal is to honor the purpose and heart of these gatherings while aligning them with our future as New Hope Together.

What will happen to the weekday program currently held at the North campus?

The weekday program at the North Campus (Fayetteville) will continue through the remainder of the full 2025–2026 school year. Families and staff can expect no immediate changes as we honor our existing commitments and ensure a smooth, well-supported experience for everyone involved.

What is the plan for the cemetery at the North Campus?

The cemetery at the North (Fayetteville) location will be preserved and respected. Its care will continue regardless of the property’s future use.

Are we prepared to worship together at one campus?

We’re excited for this next chapter as one church family. As we come together as one campus, we believe this is a season filled with opportunity: new friendships, fresh momentum, and shared purpose.

Our South Campus (Starr’s Mill) is prepared and eager to receive everyone with warmth and hospitality. We believe this season will bring growth, energy, and deeper connection as we move forward as New Hope Together.
